World AIDS Day 2024
Sunday, December 1
5:00 – 7:00 pm
Join us at The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis Sunday, December 1st to commemorate World AIDS Day, celebrate those living with HIV/AIDS, remember those we’ve lost, and raise money for AIDS organizations. Join us for an evening of music and storytelling, ending— on the Rooftop of The Woman’s Club overlooking Loring Park— with a candle-lighting ceremony and a reading of names of those we’ve lost.
Great thanks to Gays for Good who organized at least 50 volunteers and to Emerson families and to all of the volunteers who came out. It was a really fun morning.

Loring Park Earth Day
Loring Park Community Center, Friends of Loring Park, and CLPC partnered to bring an Earth Day Litter Pick up! Supplies were donated by MPRB and City of Minneapolis/Clean City Programs. Friends of Loring Park brought coffee and muffins to start off the morning.
Tonya Love, our Loring Park Director brought in Park Environmental services and we learned about water quality and earth worms in the soil. A special feature this year was a table to make bird feeders! Just a great activity for the children which participated.
